Tyrese Gibson, Nia Long, Tisha Campbell, Shaun Robinson, and Boris & Nicole Kodjoe Come Together in Support of Foundation’s ‘Love Healthy’ Initiative LOS ANGELES (September 9, 2015) – Emmy® Award-winning casting director and talent executive Robi Reed and The Reed For Hope Foundation(RFHF) have announced plans for the highly-anticipated end-of-summer event, “The 13th Annual “Sunshine Beyond Summer” (SBS) Celebration” – The Day Party With A Purpose. The fundraiser will be Sunday, September 13, 2015 at a private estate in Los Angeles. Reed brings together a select, diverse group of entertainment industry tastemakers and community leaders for a fundraiser unlike any other. The special event will be co-hosted by acclaimed actors Nia Long, Tasha Smith, Shaun Robinson, and Chris Spencer. Guests will enjoy special musical performances by Marsha Ambrosius, Howard Hewitt and other surprise musical guests. DJ D-Nice will provide the afternoon musical soundtrack. Reed will recognize honorees Steve and Lisa Vasquez of Cooking With Gabby with the 2015 Community Service Award. She will also present the 2015 Sunshine Award to the following entertainment industry honorees: AJ Johnson, Boris and Nicole Kodjoe, Brandee Evans, Daphne Wayans, Dolvett Quince, Dondre Whitfield, Salli Richardson Whitfield, Eva Marcille, Gwendolyn Smith, John Salley, Michael Blanks, and Wesley Jonathan. The award recipients are chosen for their work in promoting health care and awareness to the community. “Like much of life, there are solutions to our health problems. We have to use our influence and imagination to find new ways to inspire better health. We need innovators and influencers to make wellness a daily trending topic or to move audiences like a hit movie,” says Robi Reed, Founder of RFHF. The Reed For Hope Foundation and its successful Love Healthy initiative will be the focus of this year’s party, engaging guests to get health screenings and to take the “Love Healthy Pledge for Wellness.” Upon check-in, attendees will go to a station/kiosk to have their blood pressure checked, heart rate checked and take the hydration and healthy living pledge – this will make them “Certified Fit To Party.” Once certified, guests will receive VIP credentials for complimentary cocktails, gifting, access to special areas within the party and have their name pop-up on a big screen for public acknowledgment of their dedication to the cause.
